Privacy policy
Added Values' privacy policy defines how we as a company (VAT No. DK35045627) process your personal data in accordance with:
- The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- The Danish Data Protection Act (DBL)
1. Introduction
When you visit Added Values’s website, you accept our cookie and privacy policy, including the terms and conditions and other provisions set out on the website.
In accordance with applicable data protection legislation, Added Values is considered the data controller regarding the personal data you provide when using our website.
2. Added Values’ data processing
Added Values processes your personal data for one or more specific purposes, including when you enter into an agreement, participate in an event, act as a customer, supplier, or business partner, visit our website or social media, receive marketing materials (including our newsletter), use our contact form, or apply for a job with us.
We process and store your personal data, including safeguarding its quality and integrity. We ensure that your data is not accidentally or unlawfully deleted, disclosed, lost, degraded, accessed by unauthorized persons, misused, or otherwise processed in violation of applicable legislation.
As a rule, the information is collected directly from you, and we only process your data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
2.1 Suppliers, customers and business partners
When entering into agreements with suppliers, customers, and business partners, we process information about their contact persons. This includes information such as the name of the contact person, job title, company name, CVR number, telephone number, email address, and, where necessary, bank and payment details.
The information is processed because it is necessary for the performance of the agreement with the relevant supplier, customer, or business partner.
We retain relevant contact information throughout the duration of our cooperation. Written correspondence is deleted on an ongoing basis, and information necessary to comply with our obligations under the Danish Bookkeeping Act is retained for 5 years from the end of the financial year to which the material relates.
2.2 Job applicants
If you apply for a position with us, we process your personal data in order to assess whether you are qualified for a current or future position with us. We process the information you provide, including your name, contact details (such as telephone number, email, and address), date of birth, photograph, application, CV, employment and educational background, and references.
We share your personal data with employees involved in the recruitment process and disclose your personal data to companies that carry out personality and aptitude tests.
We will delete your job application no later than 6 months after the completion of the recruitment process. If we wish to retain your information beyond the recruitment period, as we believe you may be considered for another position, we will obtain your consent.
3. Marketing
Here you will find a description of how we process your personal data when you interact with us on social media, subscribe to our newsletter, or download materials from our website.
If you have consented to receive marketing from us, we typically process information such as your name, email address, and company.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletters you receive.
3.1 Social media
We use social media to engage with our customers and potential customers, as well as for recruitment and general marketing purposes. If you have “liked” or commented on a post on one of our social media platforms, we will inevitably process some of your personal data. If you contact us via social media, we process your personal data in order to be able to contact you and respond to your inquiry. The information will originate from you and from the social media platform through which you contact us.
3.2 Newsletter and downloads
We use analytics tools in connection with your subscription to our newsletters via our website, and when you download materials from our website. By subscribing/downloading, you consent to us accessing your name and email address.
3.3 Consent for the use of images and videos
When we take photos or videos of employees or customers and share them on social media, we process personal data. Therefore, we ensure that there is a legal basis for doing so, and this depends on the type of image being published.
The rules are as follows:
- If the image is a so-called situational image, for example primarily showing a building or an office environment, or taken at a conference, trade fair, or event, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in sharing the image. The purpose is not to depict specific individuals.
For such images, where many people appear in the background, it may be sufficient to inform individuals in advance (e.g., through signage) – provided the image is not offensive and does not focus on identifiable individuals. - If, on the other hand, the image is an actual portrait of, for example, employees or customers, explicit consent is required – and such consent must always be given voluntarily, be informed, and may be withdrawn at any time.
3.4 Cookie policy
In connection with the normal operation of our website, we collect personal data about you through cookies in order to improve the website’s appearance and user experience, as well as to compile statistics. The information we collect through cookies includes, for example, your IP address, browser type, and user behavior, including page views.
We only collect your information if you have given your consent. You can read more about this in our cookie policy on our website.
4. Recipients of your personal data
Added Value processes your personal data confidentially, and as a general rule, we do not disclose the information to third parties. However, we may disclose your personal data if you have given your consent, if we have a legitimate interest in the disclosure, or if we are legally obligated to do so.
We may entrust personal data to our system providers, who process personal data on our behalf and according to our specific instructions in accordance with the data processing agreement entered into.
5. Your rights
When we collect information about you, you have a number of fundamental rights under the data protection rules that you can exercise. If you have given your consent to our processing of your information, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
You can read more about your rights on the Danish Data Protection Agency’s website here.
